Homework Monitoring

One of the most important ways to help your child succeed is to monitor his/her progress in class, especially the homework and tests assigned.  Homework is assigned daily in most core classes.  Students should expect 15-30 minutes of homework from each core class, which equates to 1-2 hours of homework per night.

There are many ways to check what work and tests are assigned to your child.  Students are required to buy a binder reminder at the start of the school year.  This is a dated notebook that has space for your child to write assigned tests and homework for each subject area.  There are many teachers who also post their homework and tests online on School Loop.  Register and check your School Loop account or email daily to find out your child's grades and work.
