Conflict Management

Conflict Management Program empowers kids, and gives them ongoing opportunities to be resources to each other. This program at Westborough Middle School recognizes that students can solve many of their own problems and that students are responsible, caring people. Peer Mediators are volunteers and are programmed into a special homeroom designed to assist the school and other students to resolve conflicts, disputes, and personal problems. They undergo 2 days of intensive training and they participate in a leadership conference and workshop throughout the year. The goal is to raise individual self esteem and personal effectiveness, to work cooperatively with others, to get along better at home and school, and to make our campus a safer place to be and a more enjoyable place to learn!
